ABOUT US

This butcher shop at Witard Road was bought by George Morris in 1966. The shop has always offered top quality meats for sale at affordable prices, and since joining the 'Q' GUILD in 1997 quality, service and hygiene have been paramount, and as the shop has this prestigious accolade it is inspected on a regular basis.

G.MORRIS BUTCHERS is part of GEORGE MORRIS AND SON. This side of the business has been established for over 75 years and supplies wholesale and retail businesses throughout the country. Because of the vast number of products that are available from the frozen food range and cooked poultry products (which are produced in their 'E.E.C.' approved factory), gives the shop a better range of products to offer customers. Deliveries can also be available throughout the country.

Over the years the meat industry has changed considerably. With that change G. MORRIS BUTCHERS has had to change with it. Over the last eight years, although the meat is still bought from local abattoirs, we have developed our own recipes for further processed meats such as sausages and burgers. Having always cooked our own hams, roast pork etc the next logical move was to produce our own range of cooked products such as meat and fruit pies. These pies come in 4 different sizes for the meat, with 2 sizes in the fruit range. Also for the past four years we have been spit roasting our chickens.
